First FEMALE Artist of the Week!!!

Name:Michae-Angele Breyan a.k.a. Breezy Marcelle
Age: 21 yrs old
Born:Long Beach, Ca.

At the tender age of 19 Bre is well on her way towards becoming Hip Hops' next star. Hailing from Long Beach California, Bre was heavily influenced by the likes of west coast Hip Hop legends such as Snoop, Ice Cube, Dr.Dre, DJ Quik, Compton's Most Wanted, and many more. "I guess my bug for song writing got started through GSpoetry, which is like a Myspace for spoken word artists."  Bre was 16 really started to read other people's poetry but never considered herself to be a writer until friend Mr.RTJ gave her the push to post a poem of her own. He frequented GS and always told Bre there was nothing to it, but to put her raw emotions down on the page; "Just say what you feel," RTJ told her. "I was feeling the idea of having an uncensored outlet, so I started using poetry as an emotional vent." One day B.Rose, Bres' best friend, hits her up after reading one of her poems and says "Yo, if you hit that poem up with a few more lines that would sound like a verse" which caught her totally off guard. With a nudge from B.Rose, Bre started recording her own tracks, posting them online and getting rave reviews. After seeing all the great feedback and getting lots of encouragement from fans, she felt the the next step was to pursue a career in music.  Bre's influences aren't strictly West Coast rappers. Her Neo-Soul vibe and Underground lyricism is a reflection of A Tribe Called Quest, Common, Kanye West, Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, and Sylvia Striplin.  Although Bres' delivery can be clean cut, she has the ability to switch up her flow whether laid back like Snoop or at lightning speed like Twista. Not only does she write her own verses, but she writes and sings the hooks as well. Unlike many other artists who lay pre-written lyrics to music, Bre customizes her lyrics to each track: "Music is something I'm very passionate about, so I really care about the product that I put out, even if it's just a fun party record.  I really get into the music and try to capture the essence of how it makes me feel."As a testament to her talent, Bre has already, in her young career headlined with a blow out performance at the Hard Rock Cafe on the strip in Las Vegas; and as a result of a showstopping performance at the Ice Club in Long Beach, California was offered an exclusive contract. Bre's eclectic style, is flavorful and interesting to say the least. From the execution of her double time flow, to the smooth delivery of her sweet vocals, the sound that this artist delivers she is someone to look out for. Stay tuned world, Bre Marcelle is coming!!!
