Maxwell III started making beats when he was 16 years old and has been hooked ever since. He started making beats for hisself and word quickly got around, "next thing you know I was doing beats for local rising acts like Cafe." Some of Maxwells' biggest influences are J Dilla, Pete Rock, Madlib, and Kanye West. These big names inspire him to be creative and he recreates that electronica sound with his own touch.
His first feature was for a poet by the name of AntBlack. "I was happy to see my name on the cd credits! lol." Maxwell is currently serving in the US Navy and continues to make beats in hopes to one day become a well known producer.
