      This unsigned rapper from Southern California grew up in a small gang infested city. Monie kept his self out of trouble by studying and rehearsing rap songs much more seriously than his friends. Sharpening his skills through lunchroom rap battles, he teamed up with his first rap group "The Date St. Dope Boys". After the group split in 2006, he became more focused on helping develop the talents of his little brother and friends from a high school clique they called Café (Cash and Fashion Everyday). The same year Café started a rap group with the same name. NiQ$Monies' lyrical content has shifted throughout his up-and-coming underground career, going from hardcore drug anthems to more thought provoking and motivational lyrics.  As Monie gets older he is realizing the tragedies of being involved in street life, and reminds the youth of the reality in the streets as well as the evil in politics today. After teaming up with 10Beats (from new r&b/pop group iSquare, and also a member of Café') Monie created several unreleased EPs, LPs and mix tapes. 10Beats energetic beats teamed with Monie's calm and intellectual flow creates great music, as seen on the intro track (Death Sentence) from his debut mix tape entitled "I Have a Nightmare".  Monie's flow comes off as nonchalant and at times sporadic even when he is going in full throttle.  He has complete control flow, which might be best described as controlled chaos.  Most recently, he has teamed with John Kunkel of "The New Division", an indie/electro/rock band out of Riverside, and is working on an EP  under the name "Team Spirit". NiQ$Monie is definitely not afraid to step outside of raps cliché boundaries, noting the fact that he grew up writing rhymes to Nirvana songs. A strong voice of opinion, an unbiased outlook on rap, a hood as well as suburban background gives NiQ$Monie a unique vision and it is portrayed through his music.
